Finding the right care for a parent or loved one is one of the hardest things a family goes through. Florida Eldercare Hub exists to make that process a little less overwhelming — by giving you honest, plain-language information about nursing homes and assisted living communities across Florida, so you can ask the right questions and feel confident in your choice.
Why we built this
Most families start searching for senior care facilities with very little to go on. They're met with glossy brochures, carefully curated tours, and websites designed to sell — not to inform. The government data that tells a much fuller story (staffing levels, inspection results, complaint histories, fines) exists, but it's scattered across multiple agencies, buried in spreadsheets, and written for regulators, not families.
We built Florida Eldercare Hub to change that. We pull from official federal and state sources, translate the numbers into plain language, and put everything in one place — free, with no agenda other than helping you make a more informed decision.
Where the data comes from
We use two official government sources — one federal, one state.
Nursing homes
CMS Care Compare
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services rates every Medicare- and Medicaid-certified nursing home in the country. We show you their overall star rating, staffing levels, health inspection history, and any government fines — updated monthly from the federal database.
Assisted living
Florida AHCA
The Florida Agency for Health Care Administration licenses and inspects every assisted living facility in the state. We pull their complaint investigation records, deficiency history, sanctions, and special program certifications directly from the AHCA database.
Our independence
We are not owned by, affiliated with, or paid by any care facility, senior living company, or placement agency. Facilities cannot pay for better placement, higher rankings, or to have negative data removed or hidden. The data is what it is.
When you use our search or request help from a placement specialist, that service is free to you. We're building a sustainable business, but we'll never let that compromise the accuracy or completeness of what we show you.
